[SOLVED] Double monitor not working.

Ive been using double monitors for a while now with 2 HDMI cables coming out the graphics card. I just bought a display port plugged that boy in and now my monitors no longer extend with eachother. I'm only able to use one monitor but they both are showing my screen. any help?

yes I have. I have extend display but only one monitor shows my tabs I have open. I tried sliding my window to the other monitor and it fell of the face of the earth

Sounds odd. Pictures may help in this case.

So it doesn't sound like a duplicate screen, so the window is going somewhere. Are the placements in display settings correct for your set up?

Might even be worth just having your main monitor connected, shut down and connect secondary monitor before booting up again to see if it helps recognition.
