Hey guys I'm having a problem here. Okay so I have a Arris Modem model TG1672G and I recieve internet from my computer by using a Ethernet cable to connect to it. So I also have a PS4 But i hate the lack of communication it was with Wifi due to the distance it has from the router. So what I want to do is connect the same exact ethernet cable i use for my computer to a different router, and then use two small ethernet cables to connect it to my PS4 and my Computer, the problem is though is that my Computer will not detect it, How do I fix this issue?

Solution

You should have used a network switch to connect your computer and PS4, not another router.

Can it be Any Network Switch? Or it has to be a specific one?

Any consumer-grade switch will work fine. You can find relatively inexpensive gigabit switches from Netgear, TP-Link or any of the other popular manufacturers.
