As obscure it may sounds, that is the best description I can give.

I recently built together a new computer. Fiddled with all the drivers and had it working. Now everything seems to work just fine.

Except, every in-game sound doubled. It only happens in-game and nowhere else so far. Why and how do I resolve it? It is really annoying.

Thanks in advance!

Did you connect any audio output to any audio input?
Do you have an hdmi cable for your display but also have separate speakers? HDMI transfers audio as well so if your monitor has speakers they will have sound as well as your normal speakers.

It's hard to come up with scenarios without knowing what you have in your system and how it's all connected.

I use Audio technica ATH-M50x using the front port 3.5 mm.
My bad should've included more. I'll try to fill you in.

I have Displayport to my RTX 2080 Ti.

I reinstalled my OS on a new drive. NVMe 500 Gb.
New motherboard and CPU. I use the Asus ROG X570-F Gaming and the Ryzen 5800x.

Prior to this, I had installed the same things for respective software. It worked perfect.

So now, a more descriptive version of my issue.

All sound works fine. Sonic Studio 3 through SupremeFX.
When I listen to spotify or watch youtube videos, the sound is also good.

But, whenever I start a game, the sound doubles. It's like a parallel reverb.
All games so far yield the same issue.
