i have a gateway 510 2.8 1GB of memory.and a vx930 crt flatscreen 19in. monitor. with a geforce6200 video card. all this is about 6month old. the trouble im having is im not getting a good picture.i have it set at 800by600 and that dont look to bad. but when raise the resolution it gets worse.i see these criss cross lines that look like tiny little dimonds. i can see it more in the white parts of the picture i even changesthe video card. i have updated evry thing.the only time i get a real good pic. is when i go into the video card settings an go into the display mode timing an put a check in {enable doublescan mode for lower resolution modes} then the picture is great! plus can i use the DVI out put for my monitor to make the pic look better

i could be wrong but i believe that is what the dvi connector is for. I understand it automatically picks the proper refresh. Try connecting it and see how it looks.
