I currently have some 3200mhz crucial ddr4 pro ram memories and when I installed them they were automatically set to 3200mhz which is very good since nothing else needs to be configured, but even though they are at 3200mhz I must automatically enable the xmp profile in the bios?

Motherboard: B450m Ds3h

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600

GPU: Rx 580

RAM: Crucial Pro ddr4 3200mhz

PSU: Corsair RM750m

Drive: SP 512 GB ssd

Bios Version: F64

Yes, I would set it to the XMP profile. Not only are you not running at the full speed, which your board SHOULD support based on it's specifications listing on the product page, but probably just as important is the fact that the board may very well not be even close with it's primary and secondary timings configuration settings that would otherwise be clearly defined in the XMP profile if it were enabled. You would be wise to at least TRY running those sticks at the profile configuration.

I doubt the RAM has XMP profiles. Might be JEDEC only. What's the exact SKU of the RAM?
And I'd bet it does.

It's possible it might not, but looking at ALL of the Crucial Pro kits that are 3200MT/s, it looks like they ALL support XMP 2.0.

And I have to backtrack a bit too. My first reply claimed it wasn't running at the full speed, but I admit I skimmed the specs quickly and thought it was a 3600MT/s kit running at only 3200MT/s. Still, it does not change the fact that I'd make sure XMP is enabled due to the probability of it having tighter timings than the board will likely auto configure itself to. And that can make more of a difference sometimes than the data rate/frequency.
