Is it better to buy a joystick that uses lithium battery or a joystick that uses AAA battery?

Lithium battery has recharge cycles after it dies and it is always difficult to find a new lithium battery compatible with the joystick

joystick that uses AAA battery this battery is easy to find but it leaks inside the joystick and corrodes the device

Don't buy crappy AAA, and they won't leak.

Which joystick?
Because except for the ps3 and xbox 360 controller I don't think there any controllers out there were every component has the potential to last as long as the lithium battery.
Something will break before the battery won't charge anymore.

i've been using the same 8 pack of Duracell rechargeable AAA batteries in my gamepads for over 10 years and have never had an issue with any of them.

also bought a pack of Fujitsu 5-6 years ago for remotes, etc and have also never had an issue with any of them.
