Doubts about the Sony SDM-P234

Yesterday I almost bought the Sony SDM-P234 that was recommended by
toms hardware review, because I found that the price was lowered to $750,
but after getting some doubts I cancelled it.

Does anyone know if this screen will stretch fullscreen videos. Or can I set it
to display things in 4:3 even if I get the black spaces on the sides.

And can this monitor display HD images and videos.

From what I understand High Definition is just higher resolution.
Since this monitor can handle resolutions of 1900x1200, I think
that it should be just fine.

If you are going to get it make sure you do it soon since Sony announced last week they are getting out of the desktop display market.

Thanks for your reply.

I just would like to know if anyone has this monitor and is satisfied
with it before buing it. I just don't trust many of the reviews out there.

And if they go out of business for their monitors does that mean that they
won't redem the waranties?
