[SOLVED] Doubts regarding RAM upgrade on Asus X409FA

Hello, I'm unsure about maximum ram capacity of my laptop (ASUS VivoBook 14 X409FA-EK555T)
Currently, I've 2 4GB ram installed on both my slots (1 is soldered to motherboard and another one is upgradable)
I really want to upgrade to atleast 16GB, but as per some sites, my PC is capable of total of 12GB ram (so I can put 8GB only, on that upgradable slot)
Interesting thing is, as per crucial, I can use 16GB ram https://www.crucial.in/compatible-upgrade-for/asus/asus-14-x409fa
also I saw a video on youtube where guy does the same

Looks like the official upgrade amount is 12GB (adding a single 8GB module to the permanent 4GB). However, a compatible 16GB module as documented in the YT video would give you a total of 20GB of memory.
