Doubts regarding UEFI bootloader

Hey guys, I was reading stuff regarding UEFI and MBR bootloaders. I understood that MBR type makes a system reserve storage of around 350MB in the starting of the hard disk in order to save info on how to/ from where to load the OS and how sectors are arranged. so now UEFI. I understood after studying a lot that they use GPT(GUID-globally unique identifiers[128 bit hexadecimal digits] partition tables) type to store whatever it wants. so my doubt is,

1. Does UEFI mode also block some volume in the HDD as a reserve?
2. If it does, where is it? in the starting sector of HDD? or somewhere else?

Solution
GPT does make some reserves in the beginning sectors of the HDD, usually about 500mb IIRC. If you want to have a drive bigger than 2.2TB you need to use GPT.

hmm.. Thank you! I checked, it had 260MB GPT reserve. So what if i am using UEFI with legacy mode? does it store extra 300MB in the starting apart from 260MB for GPT??
