Review Dough Spectrum Black 32 Ultra HD OLED Gaming Monitor Review: Tremendous Performance And Tweakability

Dough is a SCAM company, they stole $700 from me and never had any intention of actually shipping me a monitor in return. DON'T FALL FOR IT, they have screwed me and countless others, don't give these losers a cent. The only reason I trusted them to begin with was because Tom's Hardware gave them a positive review. You need to take this article down and quit giving these SCAMMERS publicity.

The fact that they've already had to change their name to dodge the bad publicity they got from their previous scams should be evidence enough that they are NOT trustworthy.

DON'T BE DUMB, DON'T BUY DOUGH.

It bothers me that Toms published another article about a Dough monitor despite the fact that the "company" is clearly predatory.

Read the comments from the previous Dough review:

When your own staff member is calling out the company it should tell you that they don't deserve coverage.

Like others, I am still owed money ($800) from this company from years ago (I asked for a refund and despite countless emails assuring me they were working on it) and would strongly recommend not trusting this company with your own hard-earned funds. I am kind of disappointed that Tom's is reviewing this product, given the many years this has been going on.

Did you read they also have same monitor with dp2.1 port…
Nope.
I opened the article, scrolled to specs, saw DP 1.4 and Dual-Mode 240hz/480hz, and realized I've seen this display before under another brand. -the LG, sitting in front of me.
Which, I bought after a very disappointing experience with another fresh-to-market 3rd party 32" 240/480hz OLED.

In-context,
Dough has a worse reputation than ASRock, and I wouldn't buy another ASRock display, myself.

I would recommend all of you experiencing issues with this company that you dispute the charges with your credit card company to cancel these transactions. Good luck.
It sounds good in theory but companies like Dough just string you along till you can no longer get money back from the Credit Card company. (Is it like 4-6 weeks before your SOL?). I have had that happen to me a few times. I try to be the nice guy and keep believing their lies and in the end they keep my money and there is very little I can do, I do agree with COLGeek but make sure you file the complaint with your CC company within the time limit.
(Also look up customer complaints about Dough. Some sights have 95% one star reviews because they have ripped off so many people).

I don't necessarily mind reviews of something like this, but to do so without any warnings about the company in question is an extreme disservice at best. Between the outright theft when they were called Eve and doing crowdfunding to shoddy QC and awful service this just isn't a brand to recommend (or at the very least attach giant caveats to any recommendation).

Why are we reviewing a monitor from a ponzi-scheme company that scammed at least $3.5 million from customers between 2020 and 2024 based off their own data?!

Dough does not deserve the attention of Tom's Hardware, they are less than cockroaches

Tom's Hardware is clearly not a source to trust for any product reviews considering they are all bought and paid for, as this review for this terrible product from this terrible company has been.
Hey there,

I don't like this review either, but be careful what you accuse people of. I can assure you, our reviews are not influenced by the manufacturers.

Dough is a scam, It's reckless to review a product without also giving your users context how vile this company is. It's an impressive screen? If you actually receive it... There's still thousands of customers like me who got ripped off and denied delivery and/or money back. The Verge invested several articles into this and concluded: Dough doesn’t pass the smell test.

Fellow users, stay away from Dough.

Reviewing any product this by this company that is widely known to have scammed it's customers is not a good look for any site. It does not show respect for the reader and does not add to the perceived integrity of the site.
As a friendly reminder, attacking others will not be tolerated.

Attacks regarding the integrity of writers and staff will absolutely not be tolerated. This includes any sort of "shill" accusations.

Stick to the merits of the article and its technology aspects, please.

I was hoping an editor did not review this article, but the first photo has "Tom's Hardware Editor's Choice" in the top right. Making matters worse, there are affiliate links in the article. The only bright side is that this article isn't a paid advertisement of Dough's scam.

They don’t have anything. They haven’t manufactured the Hub models, and likely can’t — because they burned through all the pre-order money and now have nothing left to cover production costs.

If you read through their own Reddit updates, it’s all there between the lines:

  • They can’t cover the tariffs
  • They can’t cover manufacturing
  • They can’t even pay their logistics partner

So what happened? Their logistics partner, Bi·Search International, took over fulfillment — but only for new sales. That means pre-order customers are completely in limbo. Bi·Search is fulfilling new Amazon and Best Buy orders directly, but refuses to ship units to customers who already paid over a year ago.

Here’s the worst part:
If Dough files for bankruptcy tomorrow (and let’s be honest, they’re circling that drain), everyone who pre-ordered will be screwed. You’ll be stuck in line behind creditors with no product, no refund, and no recourse.

Meanwhile, Bi·Search is holding all the stock and selling it at full retail — and they won’t lift a finger for the people who essentially funded the entire thing.

It’s not just bad business.
It’s theft, dressed up in corporate logistics and empty updates.

It's shameful that Tom's Hardware is doing such a review of this scam company without warning people.
