DOW 2 games for windows live big problems err 0x80070002

Hi I am trying to install. Games for windows live to play Dawn of War 2. I have been through several forums to no avail. I have reinstalled .net, I have even renamed my updates download folder. What happens is the games for windows live installer comes up it gets to the end of the 30mb download then stops displaying err 0x80070002 here is the log (after download to make it smaller)

After many many solutions didn't work I have finally found a solution. It would appear my windows user account was corrupt so i created a new one and installed using that profile. This worked a treat hope this helps others
