To "download" is "to receive a file transmitted over a network"
(see, for example,
http://www.techweb.com/encyclopedia/defineterm.jhtml?term=download).
You can't "download" a CD.

Are you perhaps trying to *install* a program from a CD. If so,
what is the program? What does "it just will not down load" mean?
Exactly what did you do to try to install it and exactly what
happened? Were you tring to do from within Windows or were you
trying to boot from the CD? If you got an error message, please
quote it verbatim.

What do you mean "download"? You download a file or program from an
email or from a website not from a CD unless you mean install or play, or
whatever you are trying to do.

Clean the cd with a soft cloth and try again. Make sure it is a cd that is
supposed to load something (autorun). If it is just a data cd, open My
Computer, bring the cd drive into view, right click on it and select
Explore. Do you see files on the cd?
