Downgrade to windows 7

I am trying to downgrade from windows 10 to windows 7. It has been less than a month and the windows.old folder is still there with all the files and folders in tact.

When i select the revert to windows 7 option in the settings menu, I select why I want to revert, confirm that I've backed up any files and all that, it just shuts down, restarts and then I log in and it's still windows 10.

Any help would be gladly appreciated.

Windows 10's downgrading and upgrading has issues from my experience. I suggest just reinstalling windows 7 completely and getting your files from your backup drive.
