[SOLVED] Downgrading a Graphics Card

ok, so i was using a gtx 1060 3gb card, i could nearly keep a constant 144 fps without issue. got tired of being held back with other games with the 3gb card so decided to give a rx 5700 xt a try. now when i play, the fps dont even reach 144 at all, goes to about 130 and has contant random dips to 90 or so. any clue what could be the issue? drivers applinked really that bad?

did you first remove all Nvidia related drivers, files, settings, etc with DDU before adding the RX?
many times very bad performance follows this type of switch because of conflicting drivers, settings, etc within the OS.
