Downgrading Operating Systems

So I recently built a computer and bought then installed windows 10. I have found it is not compatible with my motherboard and was wondering how to go about purchasing and downloading windows 8 instead. Forgive me for the mediocre post as I have just started building PC's. Any help on which windows 8 to buy or how to install it would be appreciated.

Perhaps not everything is lost. Could you pass on your full systems specs? We can move on from there hopefully.

Just go buy a retail version so that you can transfer it around. You can upgrade it to 10 for free until July 29 2016. You have 8 months to play around and get it right.

7 is better than 8 or 8.1, and still upgradeable, and cheaper.
