Hi,

have you installed any "download manager" recently?

If not, it'd be interesting to know what is this "ActiveX or something" you are opening up....does this happen with a specific site or with all sites? can you give an example of such an url?

ACTUALLY I FORGOT THAT, IT ORIGINALLY STARTED THAT WHEN I TRIED TO DOWNLOAD A .EXE FILE IT TRIED TO OPEN IT WITH QUICKTIME. UNINSTALLED QUICK TIME HOPING IT WOULD GIVE ME SOMETHING TO REASSOCIATE IT WITH, EXTENSIONS I MEAN.THAT IS WHEN IT STARTED DOING THE ACTIVE X DONT HAVE THE RIGHT SOFTWARE THING. I JUST CANT FIGURE OUT WHAT TO REASSOCIATE IT WITH. WHEN I TRY TO DOWNLOAD AN .EXE FILE IT DOESNT GIVE ME THE SAVE OR OPEN FROM CURRENT LOCATION WINDOW. AND IT ISNT A SPECIFIC URL, IT IS ANY .EXE FILE I TRY TO DOWNLOAD. THX MANISH, HOPEFULLY I GAVE YOU THE INFO YOU NEED TO HELP. MIKE

You can change the associations with Windows Explorer. Right click Start and select Explorer. Click on Tools and select Folder Options, click on File Types tab. On my computer there is no association for the .exe extension, so I would think that if you just deleted the .exe (if it is there) that should solve your problem.

I wonder...what is the speed of gravity?
