Hey guys

My download speed is being throttled by my TP Link AV500 Powerline adapter. Was working perfectly yesterday and now is just being slow.

The wireless speed is absolutely fine, I'm getting about 100 MB/S, but with the adapter I'm only getting 1-2MB/s.
I've plugged my laptop directly into the wifi adapter via ethernet and got fine download speeds, so I know it's not a problem with the connection from there.

The weird thing is it's not affecting my upload speed at all, only the download. Anything I can do?

Thanks in advance.

sounds to me as though you are getting interference between your router and the power line adapter. this would be caused by devices plugged into the mains in between your router and the power line adapter.

In my house power line adapters only work in 2/4 rooms downstairs and 1/2 upstairs, due to such interference.

I believe there are ways of preventing the interference, for example Solwise branded 'piggyback' power line plugs promise to remove interference from anything plugged into it, so i assume there must be alternatives, however unfortunately i do not know.
