Download speed is being throttled?

I just built myself a new gaming computer and plugged in my Belkin f7d1101 v1 and am getting 350kb/s when we get 3mb/s. So I plugged it into my laptop and it worked just fine, giving me 2mb/s. I'm not very knowledgeable on this subject so I was looking for suggestions on how to fix the problem.

Are all the drivers installed and updated for not only the wifi stick, but also the USB drivers for the motherboard?

Try some different USB ports, if that's not the issue we can run a few tests.

All the drivers are updated for everything

I tried putting in different ports, even 3.0 slots and it didn't help at all

When you tried the usb stick in the laptop, was that in the same room as the desktop or a different one?

I am assuming you tried pluging it into the front ports of the dekstop and not just the back ones"

Yes I tried the front ones and the back ones. And I set the laptop in the same spot as my desktop when I tried it.

Yes that's my typical download speed for games and everything else I download

No just my computer,

There's always the option of a Powerline.
It sends the signal through the power line (Plugs) and allows you to receive it easily

I bought a USB wifi dongle and we get about 10 MB/S here, but only get about .75 to 1 MB/S on my dongle. It's because the dongle is a POS and it's cheap. Maybe it's just the Belkin is not a great quality device. I could be wrong though.
