Download speed limited

So I have gigabit speeds but when I download from my pc I get 250 to 350. Today I tested at 200. I had a cable guy come by and everything up to the PC tested 920. So I’m assuming there is a bottleneck somewhere in the PC?

Are you using a wired or wireless connection between your PC and your router? What is the make/model of the router? Does this occur with only the single system or with others?

Wired connection and nothing is connected but my PC even from the modem this happens

Wrong LAN driver. Or old NIC has no W10 support.

The LAN driver is from the motherboards website, and the NIC has supported it before but hasn’t for a couple months

to the best of my knowledge the lan driver is correct and i've had the correct speeds on this computer before it's just been a very long time.

This is coming directly from my modem, and this is the only system that downloads anything. I have eliminated the router from the equation as of this moment and sorry it doesnt let me quote on my phone.

Gigabyte Aorus z370 Ultra gaming. I believe its rev 1.0

I just installed the cfos speed accelerator and the driver and support assistant says there are no updates.

Personally, I would NOT use the accelerator software. Sounds like your drivers are good to go.

I have, i even had the cable guy test all the way to the network cable iand it carried the correct speed. Then once it hit my computer is where it went to poop.

Try this. Boot your system with a Live Linux distro. Then test your speed. Intent is to isolate whether Windows or hardware is the issue.

Live linux Distro? As in A virtual box?

No. As in download an ISO and burn to DVD or write to a USB drive. Then boot from that device.

Linux Mint or Ubuntu would be good choices. You don't actually install Linux when you do this. It is run via your memory only.

Is there any other way to check? At the moment i can't find my USB drive
