I moved to a new house about two months ago, when I got to the new house I built a new PC and need to get a wireless adapter to use with my wireless router. It was working fine until recently, about a week my download speeds started to decrease from 100kb/s to 20-30kb/s max. I'll list the things I've tried to fix it;
-Updated network adapters drivers
-Taking out the adapter and putting it in a different slot
-Resetting my router
-Unplugging my router and plugging it back in
None of the above worked and I'm at a loss as to how I can fix this.

I've found out that if I restart my computer, my download speeds will be at the normal 100kb/s for about an hour and a half and then go right back to the low ones. Restarting my router yielded the same results. I got on my old computer and the download speeds were fine. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

I've never been a fan of the "mini" dongles. IMO they are too small to get a decent signal. You might want to consider getting a "brand" name dongle. I personally use this and it works very well.

Have you checked with your ISP to see if they "throttle" your downloads when they reach a certain amount or time?

Thanks for the suggestion, I bought a new, bigger one so I'm hoping that'll fix it. I don't think they're throttling my downloads as I was able download a game that took two hours on my other computer without it going below 70kb/s.

My router's in a different room so I unfortunately can't.
