A few days ago I bought a brand new laptop. I installed steam and chrome and everything seemed to be working fine. But after I tried to download something from my browser, the speed was heavily fluctuating. It was ranging from 100 kb/s to 4 mb/s. I tried downloading things from multiple sites and the result was pretty much the same.
Oddly enough, whenever I download something from Steam, the speed seems to be consistent and stable.
I have no idea why this is happening but I tested this on Microsoft Edge as well and the speed was heavily fluctuating.
I am using Windows 10.
