[SOLVED] Download speeds capped

So i have a very fast internet connection (500Mbps), but when i try to download something through from a webpage, the speed gets capped at exactly 1.3MB/s. I have tried different websites and its always the same. I can even have several downloads at the same time and all of them stay at 1.3MB/s. Downloads through programs like steam does not get capped. I tried using another computer with the same ethernet cable and the speed is also uncapped. I have no idea whats causing this. Please help.

I have tried: Using different browsers, setting Speed % Duplex to full, restarting the pc, updating the pc.

1.3MB/s is 10Mbit. SOMEWHERE you have a 10Mbit link. What does Windows say your network adapter is running? Gigabit?

I don't know. Start by listing ALL network hardware.
Since your picture shows 1Gb at your network adapter, what does your PC connect to?
Could someone in your house, have limited your bandwidth at the router?
What does the speedtest from fast.com show ?

My Pc connects directly to the router, noone has limited the bandwith and fast.com shows 480Mbps

So 483Mbit is much greater than 1.3MB/s. Where are you downloading from? It is possible the other end is limiting your speeds.

Pretty sure its not. I have tried several different websites and it was still capped. I also tried a different pc with the same etheret cable which was uncapped

Okay, i tried downloading something from microsofts website and the speed actually went up to around 3 mb/s which is good, but still not near to what it should be

You know what, im getting tired of this, so i think im just gonna leave it and deal with it later. Maybe it will fix itself, if not, im probably gonna do a complete wipe of the pc soon anyways. But thanks for helping
