[SOLVED] download speeds slow on other launchers

Steam says I hit 24.9MB/s, but when I download something through Tarkov's, Warframe's or FFXIV's launchers, it's capped around 2MB/s

Yes, nothing came up. I've had this issue for a while now. I just want to get down to what is causing this issue. Steam is fine, Epic Games Store download both at 24.9MB/s. I Don't understand why it's doing this to other launchers.

Steam and epic both use a multithread download kinda like torrent. If you watch the network tab in the resource monitor you will multiple open connections. There are a number of reasons to do this but one is it can help on some high latency connections.

Try to download a large file like a windows 10 install image from microsoft. Then watch this run in resource monitor, you should be able to see the rates on a single stream download.

If microsoft also works it then almost has to be some issue with the game launcher. Maybe check that there is not a user setting in the tool that set a lower maximum download rate. I have this set in steam so if I forget and leave the game machine on it does not mess up stuff like netflix when steam does it auto update of games.
