Downloaded files fshow up as blank documents instead of zipped folders

Hi ive been trying to download darksouls mods for the past two days and everytime i try and download a mod it just downloads as a blank document that cannot be opened or extracted at all instead of being downloaded as a zipped file. I was only able to get DSfix and a recolor of an armor set to actually download as a zipped document. I have no idea whats going on i even tried downloading other mods for other games with the same result. Any help is much appreciated
