Downloading and Installing files on a lopp

I'm trying to install my Microsoft Webcam VX-100, I get as far as "Downloading and Installing files..." screen, and it seems to be on a loop and just stays on that screen, the green bar filling up and emptying over and over again

Why is this happening?

My webcam isnt plugged in.

Try another browser like opera or chrome.

May be active-x is the issue.
