Hey guys.

Since this is the Storage section and this is about my SSD, I figured to put this here.

I ave a Crucial MX300 SSD, and even with an SSD it takes very long for it to download Steam games.

Is this normal? Isn't the speed of the download dependent on the SSD?

Say I download, on the same network, a steam game on a SSD and then on a HDD. Will there be a difference?

Because I have been downloading / installing CSGO on this PC, on the SSD. Yet it is still painfully slow, at 1.1 Mb/s

Isn't it supposed to go at 550 Mb/s ?

Solution
Download speed it dependant on your internet connection and the server you're downloading from

Unless you got a hella fast internet connection, you won't find a difference between a HDD & a SSD when downloading (installing will be faster though)

lol, you learn as you go, right?

So download speed is dependent upon the internet connection. And the speed of the installation process is dependent upon the SSD.
