Downloading Steam Games in Multiple Shifts

Now a days in India, maximum games comes as digital download with no DVD provided. I have a 1 mbps or 120 kBps unlimited DL/UL internet connection. But with this connection, downloading these games may take more than 60 hours. Now running my pc 60 hours continuously is not possible. So is it possible to download a game which comes as a DIGITAL CODE ONLY in multiple interrupted shifts?

with Steam it's no problem at all. pause the download before shutting down and resume it whenever you want.

have I tested it myself? No.
but do you currently have a game on steam that only uses a couple hundred MB? Because just try it then. uninstall and redownload it. should work without a problem

Isokolon is correct - you can pause and resume downloads using the buttons in the Steam client.

It works just like Isokolon says. There's no problem pausing the download in the middle. When it starts back up, it will look(verify) what has already been downloaded, and then continue from there - just like torrents.
