Downloading Windows 10 onto New SSD

Hello all and thanks for checking out my thread.

I just bought the SanDisk Ultra 3D 500GB SSD and am wondering how to get Windows 10 onto it properly. I have a 1TB HDD installed in my current pc that has Windows 10 as well as all my games and applications on it. Should I clear off my HDD or just take it out? Can I delete Windows on the HDD? Should I just keep Windows on both of the storages? Anything you can suggest will help such as links or programs that I should use.

Will everything that is on the 1TB HDD fit on 500GB?

If so.....I would just do a straight clone.

If not.....depending on what was taking up the space.....I might uninstall things or move things to get it down below 500 (most likely 400 or less) and then do a clone.
