in the Big Book of Hero 5th edition, or better yet the Hero System
Sidekick, the disadvantage or limitation or whatever is located that

You can use Physical Limitation: looses powers around Kryptonite
(Infrequently, Fully Impairing)
Plus Susceptibility: In the presence of Kryptonite, 3d6 damage per
Phase (Uncommon)

or some thing like it

That comes under the umbrella of the "Limited Power" disadvantage.

It can also be built as a Susceptibility that drains.

Yes, but that's a terrible exercise in bookkeeping that I would
strongly recommend against.
