Question DP capable of 1080p 144hz

I got a ASUS VG248QE 1080 144hz monitor and i want to actually USE the higher hz so im planning to get a DP cable, BUT im not sure what can do 1080p 144hz and what canttt.. i was ordering this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F7YV4BR/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_slice_asin_title_o00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 but i saw reviews saying it cant do 1080p 144hz.. i have a 1060 6gb, im new to the DisplayPort cables and all thattt.. iv ran a hdmi my entire time lol so id like some help please and thanks

DP can do more than any other standard. So yes, it can do that. DP can do 1080p at 240hz for that matter. Or 8k at 60hz with the proper hardware. There is pretty much nothing higher or more capable than DP for all intents and purposes.

Any DP cable should be capable of 1080p 144 Hz.
