[SOLVED] DP port to DVI D cable, no picture

Hi, so I have a hp elitedesk 800 g1 usff and I’m trying to hook up a DP port to DVI D cable to my monitor. When I boot it up there’s a picture for a few seconds then nothing. I tried a regular DP port cable and it works fine. Any help will be much appreciated, thanks!

I just tried my other pc and there was also no picture. I don’t think it’s the monitor, it’s brand new. The cable was cheap, could that be it?
