DP to DVI-D with rtx 2080, Benq XL2411z not showing 144z

I just bought a new computer with an rtx 2080, which supports HDMI, Displayport and USB-C connections, but my monitor (XL2411Z) supports HDMI and DVI-D. I want to run at 144hz, which i've done before with DVI-D, but since the graphics card doesn't support DVI-D i cant use it directly.

I've used a Displayport to HDMI, but have later found out that this exact monitor caps at 60Hz with HDMI input. I've now acquired a displayport to DVI-D, and on the monitor you can see some information using the buttons on it, and it says the optimal resolution is 1920x1080 144Hz, but i can't change the Hz to 144 in either windows or nvidia settings. What could i possibly do?

I've read about the different connections and stuff, and i already have a DP to DVI cable, and the DVI is dual link, and therefore i do not understand why i can't change to 144Hz?
