I'm a bit concerned about adapters blowing up stuff like TVs, GPUs, etc.

Will the WX3100 output 4k 60hz through a DP-HDMI 2.0 active adapter?

I hear stories about adapters blowing stuff up. Not good. Can anyone clarify. I don't want to destroy a $2000+ TV because of some shoddy adapter.

Yes, they work just fine. I use this one: https://www.amazon.com/Plugable-DisplayPort-Supports-displays-3840x2160/dp/B00S0BWR2K/

To be sure, the graphics card is WX3100 and the TV is Samsung Q7FN 55inch. I do not yet have the TV, but was concerned, as that TV is around $3500 AUD retail in Australia, which is roughly $2K USD or thereabouts retail in the USA. I presume most readers here are in the USA, hence my $2k figure.

Does the fact that the TV is a Q7FN make any difference, I think the Q7FN is HDR enabled, would this affect the ability to display at full 4:4:4 subsampling as neceesary for text quality.
