Im buying an rtx 2080 super gaming x trio next month, However, I only have 1 4k monitor with a display port while the other two are only hdmi. If I use a display port to hdmi adapter, and i put the dp end into the rtx card and the hdmi to one of the two hdmi monitors, will I still get the benefits of a display port? Because Ive read somewhere on the internet that display ports are better than hdmi. Is this applicable to dp to dp cables only or what?

Since the card has 3 DP's and 1 HDMI, you're going to need an adapter for the second monitor. You will need to look for an active DP to HDMI adapter in order to hook the GPU to the lone monitor(the one without a native connection from the GPU).

You will be limited to display modes that HDMI 2.0 can support. So for example, DP 1.4 can handle 4k120, HDMI 2.0 can not, so you'd be limited to 4k60.
