I connected my new computer for the first time today, and I'm having a problem. I'm trying to connect the Display Port output from my graphics card (PNY Quadro P620) to the HDMI input in my tv with a DP->HDMI cable, but neither the computer nor the tv seem to detect that anything is plugged in on the other end. It doesn't work on either HDMI input in the tv, and I can see that both inputs work when I plug in my xbox. When I unplug the normal DP input from my main monitor and plug in the HDMI cable, it works fine. And switching to different DP ports on the computer has no effect either. It seems therefore that the problem has something to do with the computer and tv recognizing each other through the DP-> HDMI cable. Does anyone have any ideas for why this might be or how to fix it?
