Hey, I'm really upset that my GPU doesn't have the ports to support 144hz. But, I was wondering if my displayport on the back of my motherboard could connect to a VGA adapter, which would connect to the VGA port on my monitor to achieve 144hz (This 144hz monitor doesnt have DP). If this is possible then can anyone let me know. Thanks

ADAPTER (Not exact one I have): https://www.amazon.com/Rankie-DisplayPort-Adapter-Plated-Converter/dp/B00Z08TZNU/ref=sr_1_3?crid=RQXUX1SE4D99&keywords=displayport+to+vga&qid=1565728671&s=gateway&sprefix=display+port+to+,aps,326&sr=8-3

read
and connect to gpu to use the gpu
I suggest you read this as suggest multiple times. It explains all of that and more.

Where do you see that?
Buest buys description says "DVI-D" and doesnt specify any more.

The DVI output of the 1030 had the required pins to be dual link.
GT 1030 DVI output is single-link only. Single-link vs dual-link capability cannot be identified visually by pin count, both use an identical physical connector.

The only possible option herr would be to use a DisplayPort to dual-link DVI active adapter as noted in section 0 of the guide linked.
