Hello everyone,
I know this is a topic that was well discussed on the net, I just want to ask it with some personal issues..

My full PC specs are written in the "signature" section.

While my 1080p monitor was connected to the DP, I had a weird issue is that 50% of the times I turned on the PC there was no signal sent from my DP to the monitor (while the DVI and HDMI worked), so I had to restart the PC for 4-6 times before it would start working again. Today it just would not start no more so I decided to move back to DVI.
(Any idea of what could cause that wold be great)

My actual question is if it will have any impact on the performance due the the larger bandwidth that the DP has, in terms of MS (milliseconds), refresh rate, FPS, colors or anything else I might forgot?
And i have a dual link "DVI-D" and a dual link "DVI-I" is there any difference?

I use a short 1.5 meters cable, it's a TN 120hz monitor with 3D so i hope it will have no impact on the 3D performance..

Any advise is welcome thank you all in advance!

dual link dvi is designed for resolutions higher than 1080p and refresh rates above 60hz. there isnt any drawback using dvi in your case.you should use the dvi - d with your gpu. dvi - i can also carry analog signal. have you tried a different dp cable?maybe a fault one!
