[SOLVED] DPC Latency Problem

My PC has been stuttering all the time since i bought my new Mobo and CPU. I ran DPC Latency test and it seemed like storport.sys's causing the problem. I have no idea to fix it, please help me, thanks for reading.

go to device manager
open up IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers
u should be able to see standart SATA AHCI (or IDE) controller
if u see something else (like AMD/INTEL SATA controller), right click on it and select uninstall device and mark delete drivers
then reboot

A quick google search tells us that this is related to storage so do what kerberos suggested and then download and install all the motherboard drivers from the official website starting with the chipset drivers.

Hi i opened device manager and there were 4 AMD Satacontroller tabs there. 4 of them have 4 different locations, PCI Bus: 43, 44, 48 and 49.

did you uninstall it?
u will know that its done by that name will change...shold be standart SATA...

There is a known issue where windows 10 update BORKED the DPC latency on a number of chipsets. Windows kernel code altered the high resolution timer which made it dynamic to save power. A lot of audio chipsets didn't work well with that change.

ya thats why usualy microsoft drivers work teh best, anyway theres no performance difference for sata drivers anyway

If you didn’t install windows fresh after adding new hardware then that’s your problem

I uninstalled the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers and so far my pc's working fine. I will report back if something happens but thank you so much @kerberos_20

amd has driver issues since ryzen 1...tbh they shouldnt install on its own
but u arent first ryzen 3000 user who got same issue...so id guess amd force installs it with chipset drivers
