Hello,

I'm experiencing a problem after I got, for the first time, the DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION blue screen. It freezed already on the blue screen without restarting or anything. Only solution was to switch it off manually by holding the power button. After that any time I try to switch on the pc goes straight to black screen (not even monitor logo) already checked if the ram wasn't insert it properly but it's fine. Videocard, SSD (with windows on it) the two HDD, CPU, everything ok. Every connection looks good (PC was assembled 2 months ago)

I got a few times the Overclock Failed Message but I didn't even had the time to figure out what was the cause for the failing of the overclock that the blue sceen error occured.

(BIOS already updated) Any tips?

my pc:

MB: Asus Maximus VIII Hero Intel Z170 socket 1151

CPU: Intel Core i7 6700k 4.0 GHz Skylake

PSU: Corsair Series RM1000

GPU: Gigabyte GTX980i 6GB

Memory:

4x16 Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000 MHz

Storage:

1x SSD Samsung Pro 850 256GB (Boot Drive)

2x HDD Barracuda SATA 6G 7200rpm 2TB

Thank you!

1| Have you made sure your BIOS is up to date, i.e reflashed with the recent version or downgraded to a prior revision?
2| Have you tried removing your CMOS battery and replaced it after 15 minutes?
3| You didn't include the OS. Are you by any chance on Windows 10? If so then disable automatic device driver updates and manually install your GPU drivers following this guide.
4| One other situation can be to use only 2 of the 4 rams and see if the issue is persistent.
