My computer is 2yrs old and all of a sudden a week ago when playing a game or just surfing the web my computer screen would completely blur and computer would lock up.I would have to press reset and then I would get this error: DQS Training failed on previous boot, reverting to slower dram speed, press delete to resume...and it goes straight to BIOS.The DQS is set to auto and I have changed nothing.I replaced the cmos battery to no effect, and reseated ram and tried it in different slots and configurations to no effect.Reseated graphics card also to no effect.I updated all drivers and there are no issues with them.I ran MEMTest on memory no issue, Passmark on graphics card, CPU, and no issue. The computer just completely locks up randomly and my screen just blurs into a kaleidoscope of colors and locks up and I press the reset button and it restarts with the DQS Error and sometimes it just goes completely blank and nothing cuts off and the reset button will not work and I have to press and hold the power button to get it to reboot.

No I am not overclocking anything. There is one thing I forgot to mention...when it 1st started doing this last week and I pressed the reset button to reboot I was getting (2) beeps from the post...and after I unseated the memory and tried different configurations it stopped beeping twice when booting and now only beeps once at reboot or post. I just don't get any type of blue-screen or Microsoft error within windows either beyond the DQS at post. Sometimes like last night I was able to surf for about 1.5hrs before the screen blurred and computer locked up and I had to reset it and then sometimes it just goes black and everything is running but no signal to monitor and reset doesn't work no matter how many times I press it...I have to hold the power button down to cut it off. Now I can almost always get it to the desktop and even go online but within a couple of minutes of getting to the desktop it screws up again.

But I will go into the Bios and disable DSQ if there is a choice in options and get back with you shortly.

I can't even get to the bios now.I start up the computer and nothing for 7 0r 8 tries and then I get the DSQ error and to press delete to go into bios and it restarts again to just a black screen instead of going to the bios...I did get one screen that said choose an operating system to start or press tab to select a Tool of which it shows "Windows Memory Diagnostic" but the screen is locked...meaning it doesn't respond to the keyboard...just frozen. Okay I was just able to make it to the DQS Error and pressed delete as it requested and it took me to the bios memory screen where it showed DQS options but the bios was frozen both times...i wasn't able to select or press anything...I have never had a Bios Screen freeze on me??? I mean windows hasn't even loaded yet for a graphics card to be an issue...right?

Didn't know that. Well I finally made it to the bios dram settings(DQS) and it only listed AUTO, DCT 0, DCT 1, and BOTH, and it is currently set to AUTO...no off or on selection. I just ordered a new motherboard, memory, and processor from newegg.com....going to be pissed if it's the graphics card as I could have saved $75.00 and just bought that. I do thank you for your time and if you think of anything else shoot me an email. I do have a friend with a graphics card...its just a pain in the ass downloading the drivers and then removing them if its not the issue but I am going to give it a shot.
