Sometimes when i open my computer i get this message, "DQS training failed previous boot reverted to slower dram" then i need to reset clock and date in cmos, whats causing this?
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 x2 5000+ Dual Core
MOTHERBOARD: Q-NV-GF6100
GRAPHIC CARD: ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT
MEMORY SLOT 1: Samsung 1024 DDR2 PC2- 5300 (333 MHz)
MEMORY SLOT 2: Patriot 1024 DDR2 PC2- 6400 (400 MHz)
OS: Windows 7 (6.1) Professional 64-bit SP1 (build 7601)
i don't know what to do...

Solution
Start with a new motherboard battery. Since you have two different RAM types, you HAVE to set things manually. BUT if the motherboard battery is dead (and with an Athlon X2 based system, that is quite possible) it can't hold those settings.

What is that can't hold those settings? Idk anything about computers, just bought it from surplus center and hope i can use it to play online game...

OK. There is some memory on the motherboard that holds configuration information, including RAM timing. The values are maintained by a battery on the motherboard.

Here is a video with a decent example -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ao866I9XpTo Do like the video shows and unplug EVERYTHING before opening the side panel

There are lots of other how-to videos out there that are similar. Watch several.

Oh i thought i wasted less than $50 and would turn out to be just another pile of junk, so there is still hope for this, can i even make this mobo+processor have 4GB memory and 1 GB video card?( Changed the battery already)
