DRAG AND DROP NOT WORKING - Oracle VirtualBox

I am not neither able to drag and drop file from Oracle Virtual box to Windows 8.1 (Host) nor from Windows to Virtualbox OS (guest). I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Guest Additions but the problem still exists.

Please tell me what to do?

In settings, under General/Advanced set Shared Clipboard: Bidirectional and Drag'n'Drop: Bidirectional.

I tried that but I am only able to drag from guest to host but not from host to guest.

After you do what Gabor suggested (which is required), I have noticed that when you drag an item from one OS to the other, it's best to give it a second before dropping the item. You should get a cursor that has a + sign and the word "copy" before letting it go. Otherwise it will be all sorts of upset. You should also make sure that you have the item on your local drive and not a network drive. Lastly, once a drag/drop has failed, it seems that it will never work again until you reboot. Just some tips.

I tried even dragging the file to the guest OS desktop and holding it for few seconds before releasing it but I get the same problem. I also get an error now while dragging files from guest OS to host OS and you can see the screen record on youtube link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAL7EAeLZfE&feature=youtu.be
