[SOLVED] drag and drop pictures into Gmail

Can someone help an old silver surfer out please!

I send photos to relatives each week with google mail. (windows 10)

I simply drag and drop the picture into the email I'm writing.

For some reason a few days ago it doesn't work.

I drag the photo and drop it in the email as I always have but it doesn't appear in the email.

I am using the same picture folder as I always have done and drag and drop the same way as I always do.

Any ideas please?

Thanks

Solution
No pop-up windows or other "error codes" etc. when the photos fail to drop into the email?

Any known software or OS updates within the last few days?

Look in Reliability History and Update History to determine if there are any error codes, notifications, or even informational events that occurred just before or at the time the problem began.

Are you able to drag and drop photos between folders, files, drives?

Run the Windows built-in troubleshooters. The trouble shooters may find and fix something.

Try "sfc /scannow":

Lastly, reinstall g-mail.
