So totally awesome news... As a Diablo fan, there is not much else on a horizon to look forward to in terms of RPG's. Dragon Age 1 was great, lets home number two will be better 🙂

Try getting torchlight on steam - relativly cheap, and feels very much like diablo 1 in a new dress.

Thanks for suggestion neiroatopelcc. I had tons of fun with Torchlight, Oblivion, Fallout and Dragon Age. Great games. However what I feel is missing in these titles is re playability like its found in Diablo Series and how levels are randomly generated, giving the new look and feel everytime you set yourself on a quest to find a rare magical items pushing your character level further and further, like in Diablo 2 Lvl 99.

Wow, that brings joyous feelings of endless hours of game play and sheer satisfaction. Great Times! Long Live RPG's!

I know exactly what you mean. But to be honest, very few games have replayability that matches that of diablo 2. Heroes of might and magic, enclave and flatout are up there for me, but I think many people have other unique favorites.

If you liked Diablo, try Torchlight.
plus, Torchlight 2 (has multi-player) and Grim Dawn (the successor to Titan Quest) are nearly finshed.

while I don't like the idea of them "sheppardizing" the character aspect of Dragon Age 2. I am interested to see how it works out. I REALLY liked being able to make a character from scratch with his own backstory and everything in the first one, probably the best character creation I've seen in any Fantasy RPG. I'll be interested to see how they handled this.

The combat changes sound awesome though, it would be great to see something more real time.

I just hope this doesn't turn out to be Mass Effect 2 in Fantasy land. Not that ME2 was a bad game but Dragon Age was refreshingly different for a bioware offering.

Am I the only one who loved the combat system of DA1?
I fear this'll be another Mass Effect 1 -> Mass Effect 2,
idiotizing of gameplay and removing of choices to make everything more action.

I liked the combat as well, for PC of course. The mass effect games are some of my favorite of all times but I would rather not have the gameplay of two excellent games run together. Both games were great for what they were. They already took out several of the more RPG elements out of ME2, hopefully that doesnt happen with DA2

Looking forward to it. And I hope they do make it like the ME1 to ME2 change, where they upped the fun action factor, and toned down the boring roleplaying nerd factor.

Let me crush my enemies, see them driven before me, and hear the lamentation of their women without 10 hours worth of boring dialog that I have to wait through.

The combat in ME2 was alot better then ME1. as for the inventory system and weapons issues:

You guys forgot you were working with an extremely powerful and rich corporation it wouldn't make any sense for them you outfit you with really crappy weapons and make you buy better ones when they are funding you. The upgrades you find throughout the game are top of the line custom upgrades that no one else has. You start the game with the best weapons and armor around.

Sure the ME1 inventory system was more RPGish but the ME2 system makes much for sense.

woot I'm very excited for this one. DA 1 was one of the best RPGs i've played in a long time. the witcher isn't too bad either. the beginning is mind numbing but it does get much better.

How much of the game are they going to sell us in the box this time? I played the first one right up to the point that an in game NPC started trying to sell me downloadable content out of the box. When I spend $60 for a game, I expect to get the whole thing. I do not mind content added later, but from day 1?

Dragon age was the hardest game i've ever played.i always finish games on the highest difficulty but i struggled to finish this on easy mode.
let's hope the second one's a little easier.
