[SOLVED] Dragon Center problems

My dragon center hardware monitor keeps saying that my CPU is at 0 C and it keeps slowing down my fans. When I go into Bios my fans seem to be working properly but I really don't know what caused this I've fix it once but it was after clearing cmos but then it just happened again after I shut down my PC and turned it on the next morning. Any details on what it could be is helpful. Thanks

Have you got latest version of dragon centre and the bios for motherboard? I would link to them but for some reason I can't access the drivers part of website today - https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/MPG-X570-GAMING-PRO-CARBON-WIFI#down-bios

maybe cause the MSI software loads at restart and if you don't stop it as well as reset cmos, it will just make the changes again. Only way to stop it is remove the software, or see if a newer version has fixed the bug.

I had Asus software on my last PC that used to think my CPU was cool enough that it could turn the fan off completely. Lets just say I reset bios to defaults (same effect as CMOS) and removed that program pretty fast after that. I let bios look after fans now.

Yeah I believe I have the latest version of dragon center because I just reinstalled it and I also just installed the latest bios for my motherboard. I'll try what you said. Thanks.

shame it doesn't even track the temperature of CPU but thats a moving target with ryzen, best tracked with ryzen master or HWINFO

It doesn't seem to track the chipset fan which I would be surprised is at 0rpm or the case fans. You get more info off HWINFO I expect.

that monitor seems restrictive. A monitor should just show temps, it shouldn't be reacting to the changes in temp.

what shows in user scenario? which one are you running in?
Extreme performance - good for games
Bal;anced - recommended mode for most users
Silent
Customise

to deselect a scenario just click it

see page 16 here - http://download.msi.com/manual/mb/DRAGONCENTER2.pdf

Alright just reinstalled seems to be doing the same. I also tried it with dragon center not installed and it was also the same. I would be running balanced in user scenario before this happened. For your PC with the asus software did your fans ramp up when under load? I'm asking this because my fans do not seem to ramp up with or without dragon center. My cpu fan will usually just stay below 500rpm and i'm guessing it has to do with a misreading in temps.

possible there was a left over driver still running. I can't remember exact driver names but its also shared with MSI Afterburner as its used to change hardware values.

yes but stock Intel cooler wasn't as good as Wraith cooler can be.

I have AIO so I can't compare the fan speeds really. running a 3600XT

I wonder what temp it uses. Ryzen internal temp is always changing as its avg temp sensor tracks 50 sensors at once so if a core is used for a process the temps will spike but not show the average overall temp.

i would run this if all you want to see is data - https://www.hwinfo.com/download/ (tick box next to sensors only and click run)
this also has accurate recordings but its real purpose is something else - https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/ryzen-master

what power schemes are you running in
settings/System/Power & sleep
Click additional power settings under related settings to see actual power plans
AMD chipset drivers give access to 2 more than normal, AMD Ryzen Balanced (recommended) & AMD Ryzen Performance mode
I don't know if the power mode would have anything to do with it, I just thought I ask :)
