I built a new pc today - was feeling so anxious, but excited. I finally have it all put together. And it won’t POST.
I read you have to update the bios of the z690 boards to work with 13th gen. I downloaded the bios. put it on a usb. and pushed the white button.
My pc seemed to turn on and immediately off.
I’m really freaking out here. I have tried to reseat my CPU.
All the fans and lights seem to be working?
Please please help. All the research i’ve done makes it seem either a simple overlooked aspect. or the worst thing in the world.
cpu - i7 13700k
gpu - radeon 6800xt
mobo - gigabyte z690 auorus elite ax
samsung nvme ssd.
corsair vengeance ddr5 ram
i’ve been at this for over 7 hours. my 2nd pc build.
I was going to attatch photos but it does not appear to let me.
Solved : i had to update bios. i wasn’t following renaming scheme of downloaded bios - so it wasn’t recognized by my mobo. ty
