Hello everyone, i just bought a new ram stick 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR-3 CL11 1.5V. When i installed the ram my computer was stucking with Asus logo for infinite amount of time. So i opened the bios and checked the settings of ram. I realised that my CPU is supposed to work with 1333 MHz of ram. Then i changed the setting of Dram frequency from Auto to 1333 MHz. It works as it should now, it boot normally and starts. The question i want to ask is: Should i change the timing aswell? It is 9 9 9 24 1T right now. Maybe i should mention that i have only 1 working Ram slot in my motherboard.

Here are the specs of my system:

CPU-Intel pentium G3250
Board-AsusTek Computer INC. H81M-R
Memory- Crucial 8GB DDR3 1600 UDIMM 1.5V
Graphic card- nvidia GTX 645

I'm sorry for my english. I hope its written understandable.

Improvement may be only "academic", ie. seen only in a benchmark and eventually as a frame or two a second in few games. For instance, I managed to drop Cl16 to 12 with my memory but with only 4-5% of higher benchmark and that's on a Ryzen processor that's very sensitive to RAM performance. I keep it at those values but if you ask me, stability is first concern, without it even fastest component is for nought.
thank you for your answer. Does it worth changing the timings? Will i notice this more performance? Is there a tool with detailed ram information about that performance
