DRAM frequency shown as 1200 instead of 2400 on g.skill trident X

Hi,

I have setup my Maximus hero bios on XMP profile 2 and the frequency I am seeing in CPU-Z is 1200 for my G.Skill trident X 2400 sets. I am attaching the image, is this alright?

dont worry, i have 1600 mhz ram in my computer and it shows 798 mhz dram frequency, i dont know but it splits the frequency in half due soethingwith channels. i can attach a screen shot.

Your fine, the DRAM is double data rate (DDR) so take true freq (here 1200) times 2 to get effective of 2400.....all is good, Merry Xmas 😉

Thanks, and merry Xmas to you too, why is the asus pc diagnostics showing 667 Mhz?

Again at half, the 667 is indicative of 1333, which is SPD value for default boot, when DRAM is first installed it will be to the mobos default which is normally 1333
