DRAM Price fixing.

I was just reading a thread where people were giving their opinions about why RAM is so expensive now. People joked about a conspiracy. WELL folks I remembered this so I am posting it.
Yes I do think Price fixing is going on now. Not like it was in 2002, I believe now it is rampant. Not only are RAM prices being manipulated but Monitor and TV prices too, and maybe much other electronics.

Why are people who are coming up with their ideas of why RAM prices are so high joking about conspiracy? Have they been that desensitized by the current US government administration?

Dram options have been a tradeable commodity for over a decade. It is not that surprising if somebody with mega wonga buys it all up when it is cheap and raises the price? If you want to start a group investment to buy up some options I will chip in.
But when you realize we could hold on to it for a bit and double our money.... Reality slaps morality in the chops.

That is very different from the price fixing that we are discussing.

Dram options have been known to the various individuals from a very long time now. And the above post about DRAM Price fixing is quite reliable and significant as well.

I assume you are referring to my thread yes? I'm just wondering why you call those theories suggested on my thread as joked about conspiracies? As far as I can tell, the general consensus was that due to many factors, RAM production is down and therefore prices increased. That seems like a perfectly plausible example of supply and demand. Perhaps price fixing is another aspect but I feel like there is no need to be going around calling peoples opinions stupid.

I didn't mean that the opinions were stupid. I meant that deriding "conspiracy" theories was stupid. It is irksome to me that so many people are quick to defend the corporations when they rip off the public. Very irksome indeed.

So you are assuming that is happening again? I will keep my receipts until 2026 in case there is another law suit and i want £20 back.
I am so glad you are on the case with sensible opinions.

I am not assuming that the law suit will happen again. It probably never will. The climate for corporate cheating has changed. We may never see another price fixing law suit again. People are accepting of it. From the Governments to the consumers. It is just not challenged anymore. I want to point this out so that at least more people will be aware that there is cheating going on by the corporations.

When I used the term stupid, I meant it in a more literal sense. Like "in a stupor" A rationalization that does not take into account the price fixing law suit is a rationalization from a position as "in a stupor". And I do mean to use the word rationalization instead of explanation.
