Edit: Almost forgot to mention this build minus the ram and hdd are a little over a month old.

Please forgive me if this is in the wrong section. So I'm here seeking help, been troubleshooting for 7 or 8 hours now and am out of ideas. So basically I was sitting at my desk last night on Netflix and had a small VN running in the bg when all of a sudden my computer locked up, then blue screened, and shut off. Ever since then I haven't been able to get it to POST. I'm thinking my ram has died since everything else in my rig is new (besides the HDD.) I'll post the parts list below I just need some input. Dram led is red on boot and stays that way. Memok check fails to do anything. It flashes for a while and either stays that way or it goes back to being a solid red light. I've tried reseating the ram in various slots, tried running one stick, tried clearing rtc ram, and cmos all to no avail. Even took apart and reassembled whole rig and put down fresh thermal paste. My conclusion is dead ram but I'd like some outside input before I spend the last of my money. All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

RAM is a likely cause, except that the odds of all RAM sticks failing at the exact same instant seems small. Your tests seems to bear out your diagnosis. It may be that the motherboard has failed though. Unless you have access to another computer to test the RAM, you're in a bad place. Best possible suggestion is to order one stick of RAM, test with that and see if the vendor allows returns if it is not the RAM that is failing.

I failed to update but late last night I ended up re-installing my old MB and PSU into my case along with what I thought was the non-working ram. Sure enough it all works fine on the old hardware. So I assume my new MB has dram slots that have died out on me. It's either that or my new PSU. Either way I've already filed RMA's on both. Will update later on once this is all fixed.

Thanks for the idea! I ran the old MB outside of the case just as a test yesterday for the first time ever so I'll do the same with the new. I got plenty of time.

Near a month later and I'm back with an update. I got my new/rma'd MB back this past Monday. Just got around to installing it today. Bad news is it wasn't the problem. So it seems I wasted time. Good news I found the culprit. Turns out my 8350 somehow killed itself. After messing around with the new hardware for about 30 minutes and it not working I said screw it and tried my old fx 4100 with the newer hardware. Sure enough it worked. Got the MB to post and all. So now I just have to go to the trouble of RMA'ing the 8350. I'll be back in probably another <2 weeks with update just in case anyone ever stumbles across this thread. Thanks for all the help again guys!

Ok, almost another month later and I'm back. Wanted to update and say everything has been resolved. The CPU was the culprit and it has all been fixed. AMD gave me a bnib 8350 with what appears to be a newer version fan. It runs much quieter than the original 8350 fan I have. Word of advice, if anyone else comes across this thread with similar problems check your CPU first and not your MB. Thanks again to those who gave input!
